DUNN'S RIVER FALLS, LUNCH & NINE MILES

Dunn's River Falls is one of Jamaica's national treasures. Globally, it is as well known as Reggae and equally stimulating. There are few places where the Arawak name "Xayamaca" - land of rivers and springs - is more apt. The Spaniards called the area "Las Chorreras" - the waterfalls or springs - and it is truly one of the most beautiful spots on the island.

 

With the help of a local guide, you can make the 180m (590ft) climb to the top! Starting at the shoreline, you will begin your climb. Shaded by the local forest the limestone lined waterfalls is a series of cool cascades and rock pools.

Your guide will show you the best photo spots, natural rock slides and swimming lagoons.

 

It is recommended that guests wear water shoes when climbing the falls. These are available for rent or sale.
